Biblical Race Theory
Every Tongue, Tribe, and Next Door Neighbor
In a time of division, outrage, attacks, and the people-power struggle; the question arises, “Do any of these attitudes exist within the church?” As Peter rested on a rooftop in Joppa, the Lord taught a special lesson on this very topic. Peter was shown a great sheet let down from heaven filled with all kinds of delectable animals Peter knew from God’s law were unlawful to eat. Yet God in His wisdom said, “Rise, kill and eat…What God hath cleansed that call not thou common.” Acts 10
God was preparing Peter to understand that He is no respecter of persons. The saving blood of Christ can cleanse and unite all men. Christ the Savior of the world died for all men because He created and loved all men. As we face the challenges of today, it is of utmost importance we remember this truth; to love all men.
Cultural Differences | Man’s View
Peter was focused on reaching the Jews only. God provided cleansing for the stain of differences - ethnicity, background, customs, traditions, and values. If we look for reasons for division, we are sure to find them. The Bible teaches us that while we may not all “look” the same, we can be unified in Christ.
Cultural Definitions | God’s View
In Acts 17:26, we read, “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth…” We should not define others by nationality but by their identity in Christ. God sees two kinds of people in this world – those who are saved and those who are lost.
Cultural Destinations | God’s Plan
One day saints throughout the ages from every kindred, tongue, people and nation will gather around the throne of God to praise Him for all of eternity. They will “look” different but not “be” different. Eternity is not based on ethnicity. It is based on a personal decision.
God’s future includes all nations. He is interested in the whosoevers of the world which included you. He has called you to be a peacemaker. Rise up and take His challenge: Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature!
When we draw truth from God's Word and submit our heart to His will, we can minister to our entire community with a Biblical approach – Biblical Race Theory.
